水関連災害分野

さて、九州大学大学院工学研究院では、下記のとおり公募を実施いたします。

アジア防災研究センターは防災システム研究分野，水関連災害分野，土砂災害分野，

都市地域防災・国際連携分野，原子力災害分野，災害廃棄物分野，火山災害分野，地

震災害分野で構成されており，本公募では，水関連災害分野の准教授を募集いたしま

す．

今回募集する研究分野は，数値シミュレーション・水理模型実験・現地観測の技術に

加え，深層学習や機械学習等を活用したAI技術を駆使して，高潮・波浪・津波をはじ

めとする沿岸災害，流木やゴミなどの漂流物による二次災害，さらに気候変動に伴い

激化する豪雨や台風の強大化および海面上昇等による将来の水関連災害リスクの想定

と国・自治体等との連携による実現可能な気候変動適応策の社会実装に関する教育研

究を推進できる准教授を募集いたします．

また国内外の大学との学術的な交流を促進する役割を担います.

学部および大学院博士課程の教育研究に十分な指導能力（日本語及び英語による

指導・講義を含む）と熱意を有すること。

海岸工学，沿岸海洋工学，海洋物理学，機械学習

学部では土木工学科にて,海岸水理学や沿岸域管理工学などの基礎科目の講義と応用科

目の講義および関連演習・実験など，大学院では土木工学専攻にて，当該専門分野の

応用科目および先端科目の講義など，学部，大学院ともに日本語および英語による講

義を分担する。また基幹教育の講義を担当する場合もある。

常勤（任期なし），試用期間あり（３か月）

Coastal Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Physical Oceanography, Machine Learning

Undergraduate: basic subjects such as Coastal Hydraulics and applied subjects

such as Coastal Zone Management Engineering.

Graduate: applied subjects and advanced subjects in the relevant specialized

fields.

These lectures in the Department of Civil Engineering will share ones both in

the undergraduate and graduate international courses in Japanese and English. We

may be asked to give lectures on KIKAN education (fundamental education).

Water - related Disaster Research Division

The Disaster Risk Reduction Research Center consists of eight divisions: the

Disaster Risk Management Research Division, the Water - related Disaster

Research Division, the Landslides and Debris Flows Disaster Research Divion, the

International Cooperation and Regional Disaster Reduction Research Division, the

Nuclear Disaster Management Research Division, the Disaster Waste Research

Division, the Volcanic Disaster Research Division, the Earthquake Disaster

Research Division.

The associate professor will belong to the Water - related Disaster Research

Division and will be in charge of teaching and research related to coastal

disasters such as storm surges, waves, and tsunamis, secondary disasters caused

by driftwood and garbage, and future risks due to climate change using numerical

simulation, hydraulic model experiments, field observation, and AI technology.

He/she will also play a role in promoting academic exchanges with domestic and

international universities.

Working hours, break and overtime work

Based on the agreed-upon discretionary labor system for professional work,

it is regarded that working hours are 7 hours and 45 minutes irrespective

of how much time the employee actually spends on his/her work

In addition to annual leave, Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays and the

period from the 29th of December to the 3rd of January

Salary

The annual salary system, which was introduced on 1st of April 2020, will

be applied. The annual salary is determined in accordance with the
