Hyundai-NTU-A*STAR Corp Lab serves to drive research development and industry adoption of AI, Robotics, 3D Printing technologies, and Digital Twins through collaborative projects with HMGICS, and with schools and research centres within and beyond the University.
To support the research for the project titled: LLM Based Smart Assistant System.
The project aims to research and develop technologies in the following technically challenging areas to deliver an LLM-based smart assistant system for automative equipment maintenance. The base application should handle multi-query strategy and fusion of Information sources (original equipment manual, internet forums, databases, knowledge graphs). The Search module must enable direct searches and fusion of information across various data sources and knowledge graphs, using LLM-generated for merge / prioritise information from different streams.
We are looking for a Research Fellow to lead the research on the LLM-based smart assistant system for automative equipment maintenance. The role will focus on lead the team of researchers to propose novel ideas and develop the novel solutions to the challenging problems.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the research on an LLM-based smart assistant system for automotive equipment maintenance,
Lead a team of researchers to propose novel ideas and develop innovative solutions to challenging technical problems.
Conduct literature reviews on AI and machine learning for decision-making and recommendation.
Design new AI solutions and search modules that enable direct search and information fusion across various data sources.
Evaluate and compare the proposed systems against existing models to measure their effectiveness in merging and prioritizing information.
Write research papers to report findings and results.
Job Requirements:
Preferably PhD in computer science or related field.
Expertise in computer programming
Knowledge in machine learning and data science
Proven research ability as evidenced through a portfolio of publications and/or conference papers and/or patents.
Excellent teamwork and verbal, written communication skills
Independent, highly analytical, proactive and a team player
In-depth knowledge relevant to the project domain.
Demonstrated capability to conduct innovative research.
The ability and willingness to adapt and incorporate novel ideas and approaches in scientific industry.
Demonstrated ability to formulate hypothesis and design effective experimental plans.
Ability to design and implement new experimental methods.
Ability to initiate collaboration research in multidisciplinary team.
Oversee and report project progress.
Ability and willingness to work some flexible hours.
