About us

Your Role
As a postdoc, you will research in information technology and be part of the research group Information Systems. The research group Information Systems consists of approximately 15 researchers and has as its main focus to contribute to both theory and practice in the development of organizations and information systems. Both organisational and technical aspects are included with the aim of developing high-quality information systems that respond effectively to users' needs. The group's research is related to our two Bachelor's programmes Business Intelligence and System Science, as well as our master's programme in privacy, information security and cyber security. The research group mainly conducts research in health informatics, privacy, information security and cybersecurity, Business Intelligence and digitisation.
As a postdoc, you will mainly work within the research project "Old care in digital transformation- Welfare Technology opportunities and risks". The project studies how the introduction and use of welfare technology affects older people, health care personnel and elderly care activities, with a particular focus on the opportunities and risks that the technology entails. In the role you will among other things:
- conduct research on information security and personal integrity in connection with the development, implementation and use of welfare technologies;
- planning and conducting empirical studies, including data collection and analysis, within the framework of the research project Elderly Care in Digital Transformation- Welfare Technology opportunities and risks;
- analyse technical, organisational and human aspects of information security and privacy in relation to welfare technologies;
- write and publish good quality scientific works;
- actively contribute to the research environment of the research group and its interaction with external partners;
- contribute to the development of new research issues and applications in the field.
The employment includes 80 percent research and 20 percent teaching. Teaching takes place in the field of information systems and can include teaching, supervision and examination at first and second cycle level.

The employment is subject to:
- Completed doctoral degree in information technology or other relevant subject with a focus on information systems or a foreign degree that is considered equivalent to a doctoral degree.
- A broad system science basic competence and ability to understand and analyse technical, organisational and human aspects of the development, implementation and use of digital technologies in healthcare or care.
