Call description: The researcher will develop dynamic surveying and mapping systems based on photogrammetric pipelines and integrate them with geometric and visual SLAM approaches. They will also address the challenges of metric calibration of digital cameras, including their integration into multicamera systems synchronized with geometric SLAM frameworks. The objective is to develop a robust hardware/software pipeline that combines different dynamic measurement approaches into a unified workflow, capable of operating across multiple measurement scales and supporting the integrated generation of accurate 3D models of real-world environments. The researcher will be expected to contribute to the teaching activities associated with the four courses in which the disciplinary sector is involved, taking primary responsibility for two of these courses and contributing to laboratory sessions and/or practical exercises across all courses. In addition, the researcher will assist with thesis supervision, student support activities, and the organization and delivery of supplementary seminars. Active participation is expected in the preparation and development of proposals for competitive research funding calls, as well as in the preparation and drafting of third-party commissioned research activities, particularly in the field of research. Participation is also expected in outreach and dissemination activities aimed at promoting the educational programs of the University of Brescia within the local community, with the goal of encouraging prospective students to enroll at the University of Brescia.

Descrizione del bando: Il ricercatore dovrà sviluppare sistemi di rilevamento dinamico, utilizzando pipeline fotogrammetriche e integrarle con approcci geometrical and visual slam. Si occuperà inoltre delle problematiche di calibrazione metrica delle camere digitali, anche quando integrate in sistemi multi camera e sincronizzate con sistemi geometrical slam. L'obbiettivo è quello di sviluppare una pipeline robusta che integri i diversi approcci di misura dinamica in un unica filiera hardware/software, con range di misura diversi e sistemi integrati di costruzione del modello 3D della realtà. Il ricercatore dovrà impegnarsi in attività didattica relativa ai 4 corsi in cui il settore disciplinare è impegnato, assumendo la responsabilità di 2 di tali corsi e collaborando ai laboratori e/o alle attività di esercitazioni in tutti i corsi. Inoltre, collaborerà alle attività di tesi e di supporto agli studenti, nonché a seminari integrativi.È prevista la collaborazione e la attiva collaborazione alla stesura di proposte di partecipazione a bandi di ricerca competitivi, nonché alla collaborazione e stesura di attività conto terzi, in particolare nel settore della Ricerca. Si prevede anche la partecipazione alle attività di divulgazione nel territorio delle attività didattiche dell’Università di Brescia al fine di invogliare studenti ad iscriversi alla Università di Brescia medesima.
