Clinical Lecturer in Psychiatry

At the Faculty of Health, Clinical Institute, Aalborg University one or more vacant positions as a clinical lecturer in psychiatry are available for occupation per 1. December 2026 or soon thereafter. The appointment is unlimited and is with 15 annual confrontation hours on average.
Your duties
As a clinical lecturer, through the organisation and implementation of the teaching on the Master's degree programme you will contribute to the development and implementation of the study scheme for medicine, Aalborg University in collaboration with the clinical professor of the subject. The teaching at Aalborg University includes casework, lectures, symposiums, clinical skill exercises, bedside, project work, feedback and professional reflection. In addition, the work may include the preparation of exam assignments, the evaluation of written tasks, the conduct of examinations, guidance on research training and participation in evaluation committees for the award of scientific degrees.
The Faculty of Health at Aalborg University provides a pedagogical training course to clinical teachers at the Clinical Institute in order to best equip teachers to use problem based learning (PBL) in clinical education, as well as to support academic and pedagogical competences to ensure coherence in the Master's degree programme. The course is a necessary contribution to the function of a clinical teacher with employment at the Clinical Institute and is expected to be completed within two years of employment.

Qualification requirements
Recruitment as a clinical lecturer requires a simultaneous appointment as a head doctor or departmental doctor in one of the hospital departments responsible for the training of medical students in clinical subjects. In addition, it is necessary for the person concerned to be a specialist in the relevant profession and to be qualified for the post by means of an assessment by qualified persons.
The qualification requirement for the clinical lecturer in medicine is a doctoral degree, specialist qualification and additional teaching and research qualifications, e.g. PhD degree or research equivalent thereto. Applicants with educational and research experience in the thesis will be preferred.
Who are we?
Clinical Institute provides research-based teaching to all disciplines in the medical Master's degree programme, and conducts research in the clinical thesis.
The Clinical Institute works closely with the North Jutland hospitals and general practice on teaching and research. There is instruction of medical students on several hospital materials and in general practice throughout the Region of North Jutland. The Institute has associated approximately 40 research units with its own medical thesis. In addition to these research units, the Foundation has associated a number of other research units and centres. In addition to employment at the Institute, the majority of the staff of the Institute are also employed in hospital.

Conditions of employment and employment
You are recruited and paid in accordance with the Order on the appointment of scientific staff at universities and the Order on the job structure of scientific staff at universities, as well as circular on the Agreement on Clinical Lecturers at Universities of the Ministry of Education and Research.
A clinical lecturer is paid with a fee of DKK 95.200 (March 2012-level) for 60 confrontation hours annually. Recruitment can be done with a varying number of confrontation hours from 15 to 60 hours with proportional pay. The mortgage is paid with 1/12 monthly backwards.
In addition to the teaching tasks, the Faculty of Health Science may require a clinical lecturer to perform other tasks for up to 200 hours a year. When employed with fewer than 60 confrontation hours, the number of hours is adjusted proportionately.
