About this position
Are you a passionate and inquisitive early-career researcher, 2–10 years post-PhD, with a strong scientific track record and the ambition to establish your own independent research group? We are looking for outstanding young scientists ready to take the next step towards scientific independence and develop ground-breaking research in Structural and Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Plant Biology, Molecular Medicine, or Neurosciences.

In this role, you will:
·        Establish and lead the newly created research group, including recruiting and developing the research team.

·        Conduct research within your area of expertise to strengthen CEITEC MU’s international scientific position.

·        Develop new collaborations within CEITEC MU, Masaryk University and international research networks.

·        Contribute to the development of CEITEC MU’s research environment and institutional practices

We are looking for candidates who:
·        Are promising early-career researchers, with a strong scientific track record and clear potential to develop into independent research leaders.

·        Have demonstrated scientific creativity with the ambition to establish their own research group.

·        Have a strong track record of high-quality scientific outputs appropriate to their career stage.

·        Are ready to compete for prestigious individual research funding, such as an ERC Starting Grant or comparable funding, and to establish their research group upon successful grant acquisition.

·        Demonstrate the potential to build international collaborations and scientific networks.

·        Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the potential to develop strong leadership and mentoring skills.

·        Are motivated to contribute to the scientific community of CEITEC MU and to its culture of scientific excellence, collaboration and international mobility.
