We have an open position as a fellow student (Ph.D.) linked to the subject of archive, museum and documentation management at the NTNU Institute for Teacher Education (ILU), which cooperates with the subject of applied information technology at the NTNU Institute for Computer Technology and Computer Science (IDI), as well as a broader social sciences research environment within the NTNU Community – Team knowledge for democracy and citizenship (link). The PhD project shall examine processes and practices related to documentation management in the public sector in Norway. The job title is «Documentation as democratic resilience of general government? Perspectives on digitisation and AI in documentation management in the light of authenticity, reliability, transparency and trust requirements». We are applying for a scholarship that wants to work interdisciplinaryly and meets perspectives from different disciplines, such as archives and documentation management, law, administrative computer science, state science, organisational science, information science, or other neighbouring disciplines. Qualification requirements

You need to have a master's degree in archives and documentation management, law, administrative computer science, state science, organisational science, information science, or neighbouring disciplines.

The master's degree must be documented before the start of the position and the course of education must correspond to a five-year Norwegian study, where normally 120 study credits are obtained at the master's level, and where 30 study credits or more are included in the work on the master's degree project.

You must have a strong professional background from your previous study, and have an average character from the Master's degree, or equivalent education, which is equal to B or better compared to the NTNU character scale.

Wages and conditions

In the position of a fellow code 1017, your salary will normally be gross NOK 550 800,-pr. years depending on qualifications and seniority. From the salary, 2 % statutory contributions to the State Pension Fund are deducted.

The period of employment is 4 years, of which 3 years is for doctoral thesis in addition to 1 years of education and other professional activities associated with ILU's study programmes in the field of study.

Lønn og vilkår
