About the position

The department of orthodontics at the Odontological Faculty has a vacant post as a scholarship for a period of 3 years in odontology.

The addition applies for a period of 3 years.

If necessary, it may be relevant to employ for a period of up to 4 years, then with 25 % compulsory work. In this case, compulsory work will consist mainly of teaching and guidance.

A shorter add-on period may be granted if the grant holder has already completed part of his/her research training programme or when the addition is based on previous addition conditions in the educational position (student, scientific assistant and similar) so that the total time for research training becomes 3 years.

Admission to doctoral programmes is a condition for accession as a grantee. It is a prerequisite that the candidate can carry out the project during the grant period. The aim of the educational position is for the candidate to obtain a doctoral degree/PhD during the scholarship period.

 Qualifications

You must have

  • Master's degree in odontology or equivalent, as well as Norwegian dental authorization.
  • Approval as a specialist in orthodontics in Norway.
  • Experience in the treatment and follow-up of persons with congenital cranial conditions is desirable.
  • Beherske Norwegian and English well, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to acquire new methods and subject matter in a short time.
  • Experience or knowledge of statistical methods.
  • Experience or knowledge of professional communication and teaching.
  • If all or part of the training has been taken abroad, we ask for evidence of the extent and quality of the entire course of training.

Avdeling for kjeveortopedi ved Det odontologiske fakultet har ledig stilling som stipendiat for en periode på 3 år innen odontologi.

Denne stillingen er knyttet til prosjektet: «En komparativ studie av behandling av kjerubisme: evaluering av kliniske behandlingsstrategier, orofacial funksjon og livskvalitet.»

Tilsettingen gjelder for en periode på 3 år.

Eventuelt kan det være aktuelt med ansettelse for en periode på inntil 4 år, da med 25 % pliktarbeid. Pliktarbeidet vil i så fall bestå hovedsakelig av undervisning og veiledning.

Kortere tilsettingsperiode kan gis dersom stipendiaten allerede har gjennomført deler av sitt forskerutdanningsprogram, eller når tilsettingen bygger på tidligere tilsettingsforhold i utdanningsstilling (stipendiat, vitenskapelig assistent og liknende), slik at total tid til forskerutdanning blir 3 år.

 Kvalifikasjoner 

Du må ha 

  • Mastergrad i odontologi eller tilsvarende, samt norsk autorisasjon som tannlege.
  • Godkjenning som spesialist i kjeveortopedi i Norge.
  • Det er ønskelig med erfaring med behandling og oppfølging av personer med medfødte craniofaciale tilstander.
  • Beherske norsk og engelsk godt, både muntlig og skriftlig.
  • Evne til å tilegne seg nye metoder og fagstoff på kort tid.
  • Erfaring med eller kunnskap om statistiske metoder.
  • Erfaring med eller kunnskap om faglig formidling og undervisning.
  • Dersom hele eller deler av utdanningen er tatt i utlandet, ber vi om dokumentasjon på omfang og kvalitet for hele utdanningsløpet.
