About the projectThe University of Twente is looking for an enthusiasticPostdoc Researcher for the Sunm-funded projectEmbrace (Evaluating and implementing blended emdar with virtual reality in male health care). The UT works in this 18 Month-project project closely withGGZ Central (Location Harderwijk). Within GGZ central, a group treatment has been developed in which EMDR therapy is combined with Virtual Reality (VR). This approach has the potential to increase the accessibility of trauma treatment and to use the treatment capacity more efficiently.
The project focuses on how this treatment can be introduced successfully and scaled within the Dutch GGZ. We investigate which factors promote or impede the implementation and scaling of this treatment. In addition, we evaluate whether this group treatment is at least as effectively and safe as the usual individual EMDR treatment, which consequences this has been for treatment duration, waiting times and healthcare costs, and how clients, treaties and other relevant stakeholders experience the approach.
Your role
As a postdoc researcher, you are responsible for the daily implementation of the research.
You work closely with the project team of the University of Twente and Professionals of GGZ Central. Your tasks consist of performing quantitative and qualitative research: such as setting up, decrease and analyzing interviews with clients and focus groups with treatment; Analyzing questionnaire, treatment and registration data; reporting research results in scientific and practical publications; Presenting results to researchers, care professionals and other stakeholders. You will be very regularly present at GGZ Centraal in Harderwijk to realize the data collection. GGZ Centrally is one of the largest providers of specialist spiritual health care in the Netherlands.
Function requirements
We are looking for a postdoc candidate with the following profile:- A PhD in (health) psychology, health sciences, behavioral sciences or a related field of study.
- Demonstrable affinity with mixed methods research and experience with qualitative research methods such as interviews and focus groups.
- Interest and preferably experience working with a clinical practice setting.
- Interest in implementation science, eHealth and digital care innovations.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to both harderwijk and enschede

De UT werkt in dit 18 maanden durende project nauw samen met GGz Centraal (locatie Harderwijk). Binnen GGz Centraal is een groepsbehandeling ontwikkeld waarin EMDR-therapie wordt gecombineerd met Virtual Reality (VR). Deze aanpak heeft de potentie om de toegankelijkheid van traumabehandeling te vergroten en de behandelcapaciteit efficiënter in te zetten.
Het project richt zich op de vraag hoe deze behandeling succesvol kan worden ingevoerd en opgeschaald binnen de Nederlandse GGZ. We onderzoeken welke factoren de implementatie en opschaling van deze behandeling bevorderen of belemmeren. Daarnaast evalueren we of deze groepsbehandeling minstens even effectief en veilig is als de gebruikelijke individuele EMDR-behandeling, welke gevolgen dit heeft voor behandelduur, wachttijden en zorgkosten, en hoe cliënten, behandelaren en andere relevante stakeholders de aanpak ervaren.
Jouw rol
Als postdoc onderzoeker ben je verantwoordelijk voor de dagelijkse uitvoering van het onderzoek.
Je werkt nauw samen met het projectteam van de Universiteit Twente en professionals van GGz Centraal. Je taken bestaan uit het uitvoeren van kwantitatief en kwalitatief onderzoek: zoals het opzetten, afnemen en analyseren van interviews met cliënten en focusgroepen met behandelaren; Het analyseren van vragenlijst-, behandel- en registratiedata; het rapporteren van onderzoeksresultaten in wetenschappelijke en praktijkgerichte publicaties; het presenteren van resultaten aan onderzoekers, zorgprofessionals en andere stakeholders. Je zult zeer regelmatig aanwezig zijn bij GGz Centraal in Harderwijk om de dataverzameling te realiseren. GGz Centraal is een van de grootste aanbieders van specialistische geestelijke gezondheidszorg in Nederland.
Functie-eisen
Wij zoeken een Postdoc kandidaat met het volgende profiel:- Een PhD in (Gezondheids)psychologie, Gezondheidswetenschappen, Behavioral Sciences of een verwant vakgebied.
- Aantoonbare affiniteit met mixed-methods onderzoek en ervaring met kwalitatieve onderzoeksmethoden zoals interviews en focusgroepen.
- Interesse en bij voorkeur ervaring met werken in een klinische praktijk setting.
- Interesse in implementatiewetenschap, eHealth en digitale zorginnovaties.
- Goede organisatorische en communicatieve vaardigheden.
- Bereidheid om te reizen naar zowel Harderwijk als Enschede
