Projektbeskrivning
The importance of the electric power system for society's function increases increased requirements for robustness, recovery capacity and efficient operation, especially in the light of a deterioration of safety mode, increased electrification and a higher utilization of existing transmission and distribution networks of electricity. Within these doctoral projects, advanced modeling, system simulations and scenario analyzes will be used to develop methods that strengthen the electricity system resilience at crisis, war and other strained operating conditions.
The projects include both optimized operation of the electric power system after extensive disorders such as the development of new key figures, forecasting methods and control strategies to measure, analyze and improve the ability of electric power system to maintain the delivery of electricity under strained conditions. The work is done in close collaboration with the energy industry and includes applications in simulation tools. The projects are carried out within the Competence Center Resilient, a national research center that collects academia, industry and social players to develop future resilient and sustainable energy systems through close collaboration between research and the supply.
Tasks
- Experience research in resilient electric power systems with a focus on the function of the electricity system, operation and return during crisis, war and other strained operating conditions.
- Develop methods, models and decision support to strengthen the power system's robustness, resilience and recovery ability.
- Implement theoretical studies in combination with model development, system simulations and scenario analyzes to validate research results.
- Use and further develop models in simulation tools such as PowerFactory, PowerWorld and PSS®e or equivalent.
- Analyze questions linked to system operation, system recovery, resilience measurements, forecasts and control strategies for the future electric power system.
- Publish research results in scientific journals and present the results at national and international conferences.
- Interact with industry, authorities and other research players in the Resilient competence center.
Teaching and other departmental service may be included in the tasks, however, max 20% of working hours.

Projektbeskrivning
