Job Description
Thesis subject
The ANR Opelpe project aims to generate functionalized, degradable and overcyclable polyethylenes. As part of this thesis, we will study the radical copolymerization of ethylene and vinylene carbonate to produce a polynyl poly (ethylene-co-carbonate) platform of vinyl carbonate content We will examine the evolution of the thermal and crystalline properties of these copolymers as a function of the molar fraction in vinylene carbonate. We will then take advantage of the presence of cyclic carbonate patterns along the chains to develop different post-modification strategies and confer new features / properties to this polymer family. A life cycle analysis will be achieved in order to identify the most relevant synthetic approaches.
Your work environment
The thesis will be carried out within the IMP laboratory, dedicated to polymeric materials, in close collaboration with the CP2M laboratory which has a unique expertise in the field of polymerization of gaseous monomers such as ethylene.
Julien Bernard (Dr CNRS, Imp) and Franck of Agosto (DR CNRS, CP2M) will oversee this work with the help of Véronique Bounor-Legaré (Dr CNRS, Imp).
By integrating the CNRS, we propose you:
• A work environment stimulating contact personnel contacts
• 44 Days of holidays / RTT a year
• Excellent working conditions (flexible hours, teleworking)
• A business restaurant that allows lunch at an interesting price
• Partial repayment of transport tickets (75%) + durable mobility package that can go up to 300 € / year
